(1) Preamble format. The transmitted
angle and date functions must use the
preamble format shown in Figure 6.
This format consists of a carrier acquisition period of unmodulated CW trans-

mission followed by a receiver synchronization code and a function identification code. The preamble timing must
be in accordance with Table 2.
