POISON GAS placard.

(a) Except for size and color, the POISON GAS placard must be as follows:

Section 172.519, the background on the POISON GAS placard and the symbol must
be white. The background of the upper
diamond must be black and the lower
point of the upper diamond must be 65
mm (25-8 inches) above the horizontal
center line. The text, class number,
and inner border must be black.

(b) In addition to complying with
Section 172.519, the background color on the
FLAMMABLE placard must be red.
The symbol, text, class number and
inner border must be white.
(c) The word  - GASOLINE -  may be
used in place of the word  - FLAMMABLE -  on a placard that is displayed
on a cargo tank or a portable tank
being used to transport gasoline by
highway. The word  - GASOLINE -  must
be shown in white.
