2. Handling Qualities
For FTDs requiring Static tests at the controls (i.e., column, wheel, rudder pedal), special test fixtures will not be required
during initial
or upgrade evaluations if the sponsor’s QTG/MQTG shows both test fixture results and the results of an alternative approach, su
ch as
computer plots produced concurrently, that show satisfactory agreement. Repeat of the alternative method during the initial or
upgrade
evaluation would then satisfy this test requirement.
Testing of position versus
force is not applicable if
forces are generated
solely by use of airplane
hardware in the FTD.
